Fedor Emelianenko vs Brett Rogers PART 1/2 (STRIKEFORCE CBS 7/11/2009)

This was the highly anticipated Fedor Emelianenko vs Brett Rogers fight held on 7th November 2009, 9pm ET. After a comparison of the two fighting Andrei Arlovsk, Fedor seemed to get off a lucky KO for the victory and Rogers proved to find Arlovsk quite an easy task to dominate. From this grew contraversy on wether or not Fedors crown of the worlds best MMA fighter would be passed down to rogers.

I apologise for the quality, I had to miss the fight due to being at work and this is a recording of a live stream from the american TV channel CBS to my home in australia thus buffering lag and audio faults were present.

That jab bret landed was weak really what cut fedor was prob brets finger nail other then that he only landed glancing ground and pound and would have gotten arm barred if it wasn't for the cage I dont think fedor took this fight that serious so yea watch fedors next fight with werdum when ever it happens I think old fedor will show up.

Wow, one of the toughest fights Fedor had, I hope he's not getting old.

The bloody nose at the beginning and all the pressure on the nose while they grabbed must have made it hard for Fedor to concentrate with all the pain and bleeding.

I agree. He's getting old because he doesn't have passion for it anymore, you can tell he was out of shape and didn't train. But I would like to be out of shape and not train, and still be able to pull a KO like that off.

Fedor is definitely getting old! You can tell in this fight because he wasn't as aggressive as he was in PRIDE. He was moving like a 60 year old granny compared to what he used to be like! I'd say these upcoming fights in Strikeforce are gonna be tough for him!

I compare your Russian, Fedor worship with how Americans view eastern medicine. Its exotic and kept a secret so people look at it as better.

there is a one problem . as i sayed before Russian fighters arent advertised at all. so M1 is trying to achieve on this now. for example. we all know Sergey Haritonov and how great he was in Pride era about 4-5 years ago. but in same time he wasnt best on his weight class in Russia! think about that.
