um.. It was digital restoration. They cleaned up the sound audio and restored each pixal. There is nothing messed up about anything.

Actually, they fucked around with a lot of stuff. Take for instance, the PTS of OHMSS. They added a wierd filter on it, etc. They cropped GE badly.
And they fucked around with the color of the blood for the DAF one.

Oh and btw, andy...They didnt change the blood, they restored the quality, if the movie came out how it did on the ultimate edition, that would be the actual movie, but cameras back then werent that great and they always had bad quality, the ultimate editions just show how the movies would of been with todays cameras, and sound quality.

the blood is a much nicer red on the special edition. why did they ruin it for the ultimate edition dvds?

I totaly agree. The blood on the UE version is WAY TOO bright.
