I am guessing the people in this class never did a website before. I can cut out the stupid questions and cut this video down to about 30 mins

Thanks Steve....but there are some problems with user registrations as activation e mail is not going..and sometimes we need to bypass that with another plugin...Hopes buddypress will work on it..

I have BuddyPress installed but am trying to add forums. I go through the process but I end up with the following message (after forums fails to install): "A configuration file could not be created. No problem, but you will need to save the text shown below into a file named bb-config.php in the root directory of your WordPress installation before you can start using the forum functionality." Any video tutorials out there showing how to add this text?

You might want to consider upgrading to BP 1.5. Also go to wpnyc dot org and ask your question there.

This video was incredible... it just responded all the questions I needed and before the video was ended I had my BuddyPress issue solved, up and running... thanks a million.

@foultips I forwarded your comment to Steve. We all appreciate the time and effort he puts in to supporting the WordPress Community. I have one further thing to add to this vid. I followed up and used it to do a BP install myself - everything worked fine, except it was quickly swamped with spammer registrations.. Steve directed me to the "BuddyPress Registration" plugin which resolved that problem.
