Mission Joplin

I was blessed with the opportunity to go to Joplin Missouri this summer to help in bring relief from the tornado disaster.

It was a 24 hr bus ride there, and the whole way over I had no idea what I was in for or what to expect. Upon arrival, however, I was speechless. Never in my life had I see so much destruction...and on such a large scale. It changes your perspective of your own life, that's for sure. If you are one to hold your possessions in such a high regard.. Computers, XBOX, phones, etc.. I won't tell you how many of those I had to just throw out when cleaning property. I found death certificates, wedding pictures in frames, children's dolls, books, etc. People lost everything precious in minutes. The things you own in life are not important. It is quite literally all just stuff.
