The second part of the lesson. For those who want to know, the things I'm calling "D" chords are D Dsus2/C G/B Gm/Bflat. Then the other ones are Fsus4 and Esus4. There are a few other "sus" chords here and there. Don't think that will help anyone, but there it is. The important thing is the chords are the way they are because they are pretty natural. His fingers just led him there, I'll bet.

  • that really helped me with the run! and all the subtleties of the piece. thanks so much, you're a great teacher.

  • No problem. Glad it helped.

  • Unfortunately, due to theraputic bounderies laws, my "family members" (inmates)can't be photographed. However I would like to learn some other songs from you. Any ideas on some theraputic type songs you could teach? There is a small chance that I could record an MP3 file from the next graduation and I would be proud to share it with you. I do star in a half assed dungeons and dragons tribute group on this site called Morbid Public please check it out.

  • Not really sure what would qualify as "theraputic" since I wouldn't have even thought this one would. I suppose therapy comes in many forms.

  • Thank you Mr. Lynch! I work with I.V. drug users and I Played this song for a thereputic community of 80 methamphetamine addicts during their graduation cerimony. It was very meaningfull for all of us. Thank you for teaching me. Keep up the good work.

  • Wow! That's pretty moving. Any chance you'll post a video?

  • The only part I agree with is when you say "I shouldn't be teaching this part".

  • Great lesson, really helpful. Thank you!

  • thanks

  • Thanks so much James. I picked up a guitar for the first time a little over 3 months ago. (Christmas gift) And I can play this song thanks to you! I may be your oldest student at 52.

  • Thanks very much for sharing and helping the rest of us understand Neil's work.

  • Good God, get more friggin lessons before you show others and I love how you keep saying, that just how he does it. You couldn't be more wrong. Learn it first then, if you want to teach, all the power to ya........

  • Hai Carnalenz,je ik heb ze gezien ze zijn heel goed,

Het mooiste nummer van Neil Young vind ik,The needle and the damage done
