Kagan to Sessions: I Oppose Don't Ask, Don't Tell

In questioning by Sen. Jeff Sessions before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan was very clear in her views on the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. "I have repeatedly said the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy is unwise and unjust. I believe it then and I believe it now."

@ChixRChattel - Obviously you're wrong. Obama could have easily appointed a Protestant (there being already four or five Catholics on the Supreme Court bench) and he did appoint a woman. The next appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court will be critical because it will shift the balance of power from Conservative to Moderate and there's a pretty good chance that he will appoint a Protestant man from somewhere out of the Northeast U.S.. He might also appoint my personal friend, Judge Sears.

There's a difference between offering that information in a safe environment and being supported, vs. being force to unwillingly admit something seemingly criminal and fear being ostracised and ejected for doing so.
