  • I have always wondered about your YT Name, "Musicalbasics", ...Everything you produce is far beyond Basic...and Full of Musical Dynamics and Life!...:-)

    Musicalprophet would be more appropriate!

  • @Mariekesone haha ty Marie :) I used the name musicalbasics because i always felt that piano music by itself (without vocals, a beat, or some kind of special FX), using basic musical principles such as harmony and the standard major/minor scales, could be worth listening to.

  • Question: Where do you get your inspiration from? Do you listen to other youtube pianists and get inspiration from them?

  • @Rdy2Killz hey Josh, I get my inspiration from two sources - people who listen to my music and tell me they like it, and from myself finding the music that i play enjoyable. i also listen to different composers on pandora, such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Nobuo Uematsu :)

  • @Rdy2Killz but wow, I must say, there are some really, really fantastic pianists on youtube, one of them being Kyle Landry of course. do you like any of them?

  • love it

    good luck :)

  • Reading one of your previous responses to a question, you said that you listen to Hans Zimmer. If you do, then you should also definitely listen to John Powell. Another great composer whose reputation matches Hans Zimmer and John Powell is James Horner, who you should also listen to. Another composer, Chris Bacon, is also very good, and although he's not my favorite, he's worth listening to. :)

  • You should write music for Jay Chou.

  • one of my favorite piece from all your compositions. When I frustrated, I just listen to this music, then I completely relax. Thanks a lot for composing such peaceful and beautiful music.

  • you are the best musical composer in my opinion. :)

  • Huh... I guess it's been a while since I stopped stalking your youtube channel. You seem to have gotten away from the Midi and back to your roots, good to see it. Keep up the good work.

Somebody has to keep the beacon of music lit in this time of literature stagnation.

  • You never settle for anything less than epic

  • Beautiful piece, as always.

  • Youtube needs to add a auto-replay button, because I broke every possible way to replay this. I love it so much.
