how does the ATTACK work on this pedal?

@blainemullins I agree with all too, so a telecaster with humbuckers, and dyna comp will be a good combination

Well that's what compressors do? You get a drop in volume so you've got to level it and compensate with the output.

Ive tried a few in this price range and bit more. After fiddle farting with knobs for days sent them back. Decided to try this one lastly. It aint all bad. I run it about 3:00 and sometimes a little hotter on output, and 9:00 to 10:00 on the sensitivity. It does cut my bass string a bit, brings up the 1st and 2nd string. Adds a bit different sound not much. I like fast boogie country stuff. I play a Tele with Fender tube amps. No gain pedals or distortion. Mostly straight to the amp.

I love mine, it makes no noise at all...
I agree with this review. I think you're missing the other factor with the Dyna Comp — an overdrive pedal. The Dyna with an overdrive will give you a Keith Richards bite that a lot of players like. To be honest, you really don't need a compressor to play clean if you have a guitar with good single coil pickups. If you have humbuckers, or Gretsch FilterTrons, different story. This is needed. As for the noise, the MXR Noise Clamp does a great job at alleviating this issue. Just my two cents.
