  • This just shows that you don't need to have sappy lyrics to have an inspirational opening title. All you truly need is wide landscape shots.

  • the music isn't as good as other M-B sitcoms. It sounds like the music that would be on a nighttime soap.

  • @VaultMasterDBT Lol! Haha that's hilarious. ^^ Yeah ladies do because of that but I don't think women put their logic in front of their physical urges all the time. Lol, I read an article on male strippers(I wanted to look something up) and women are worse than males there. I also seen a lot of men who think with logic before their phsyical urges. I think men & women break the stereotype in diff situations & for different people.

  • I said *perhaps* they did develop the show as a vehicle for men to not have to put up with women, but that's just my way of joking. :) You're right, we should not forget the well-known study of how men and women are wired. The stereotype seems to say that ladies out there love to peg men in general as being pig-headed, mostly since testosterone seems to override men's logic at times, whereas women, in comparison, seem to put their logic first before their physical urges.

  • @VaultMasterDBT Really? Sweet! I'm glad I didn't offend you. Thanks! I just thought of it out of the blue. They did? They could've done that, not sure if many shows had just men. But I don't think it's fair to say only women are sensible, they're often irrational too. Men are biologically designed to be logical while woman are emotional/use the other side of the brain. But I break that status quo.

  • I am a guy, but I did not understand your comment originally, so either way I couldn't have been offended. I see what you're saying now, and your point is pretty funny, lol. The creators/producers modeled this show after My Three Sons, but perhaps featuring no women as major cast members from the outset was their way of giving men a "voice" without being undermined by sensible women! :)

  • @VaultMasterDBT Yeah I knew there were females in the show just not dominately in the intro. I just meant it as a joke like you know how women talk a lot or more. Maybe b/c women don't give them a chance. IDK or men don't listen, IDK. Were you offended & a guy? If so why do I always offend guys(irony)?

  • Also, what do you mean by "Maybe men don't talk?".

  • There were no women in this intro, but there were women cast members (albeit, only two altogether, and only one when the show first premiered). Gail Edwards played neighbor Hilary, the mother of Allison's (Sterling) best friend Patrick (Josh Byrne). She and Jack (Harrison) forged an alliance, and for a time it seemed that they would become an item. When the show returned in June 1991 after the long hiatus, Nancy Everhard joined the cast as Jill Nichols, a reporter whom Jack did date.

  • @MrLogoman007 I noticed there are no women in it. Maybe men don't talk? I think it was one of the best openings.
