Marco Cappelli Acoustic Trio plays CONGO by Frantz Casseus @ Mannes College, New York

MARCO CAPPELLI ACOUSTIC TRIO is:
Marco Cappelli, guitar, Ken Filiano, bass and Satoshi Takeishi, percussions.
This concert took place on July 10th 2010 for the10th NEW YORK GUITAR SEMINAR - The Cutting Edge: New Visions in the Art of Guitar (Mannes Concert Hall, Mannes College - New York).
Starting the Trio part of the concert, we played my arrangement of CONGO, by the great Haitian guitarist and composer Frantz Casseus (1915 - 1993).
We dedicate this piece to the victims of 2010 Haitian earthquake, with the intention to spread the word about the initiative of a group of musicians (including myself, guitarist Marc Ribot, saxophonist Buyu Ambroise and percussionist Markus Schwartz), who is working to create a program to support guitar students in Haiti, in the name of Frantz Casseus.

Percussionist - great - really nice - doing a lot with a little and great feel and time.

Actually - all have nice time and can probably play nicely, but was this really worth it... did anyone actually get laid??
