  • i remember doing this kata for the national competition in singapore and won first place for black belt under 15s kata...

tomari bassai is definitly a cool and awesome loking kata, alot better than the famous bassai dai.

i miss the days when i was doing karate-shritoryu.

  • She might have done in much better, if she performed it on a wooden floor or hard tatami

  • not detracting from Helen, she has worked very hard, however this looks more like a sport version of Pasai Dai

  • I believe that this form of Bunbukan is not connected to Bunbukan in Okinawa but Bunbukan of Patrick Rault who lived in Japan , Okinawa for a long time .

    Good work anyway !

  • Very strong basics. A solid form! Keep up the good work.

  • Traditional or Okinawan way of the form no doubt. Also I guess the floor must have been giving her a hard time, is always better to do it on tatami mats or the zebra sport mats. She must have been tired at the time of filming did she just came back from a tournament week, you like she's on recovery week after competition when you filmed it, still sporting injuries cause by over straneous activities that cause microscopic injuries on tissue and bone surfaces

  • Absolutely Solid Kata, nice. Keep at it!!
