Hearing a man burp his "good morning" to me prompted me to do this video on my favorite etiquette books and columns :)

Gunn's Golden Rules: Life's Little Lessons for Making it Work by Tim Gunn - I love Tim Gunn! This book is part memoir/ part etiquette lessons. Feel Mr. Gunn's pain as he recalls various run ins like the time he allowed someone with only one item in the line at the grocery store to go ahead of him without this person giving him so much as a "thank you". This is a humorous look at etiquette and one that we could all benefit from.

Debrett's Etiquette for Girls by Fleur Britten - This would make a great present for a teenage girl or a woman in her young 20s... It covers many day to day situations as well as special occasions and gives you thoughts on how to navigate through life with class. Love Debretts.

Classy by Derek Blasberg - I wouldn't suggest giving this book as a gift as you might offend the recipient. If you know some one with MAJOR etiquette issues, perhaps slip this book into their handbag without them knowing. Hopefully they will read it and start behaving better!

Sir David Tang's column in the Financial Times www.ft.com His witty, high-brow and often controversial views on etiquette are highly refreshing.

Thanks for introducing the etiquette books ! I love Tim Gunn's 2nd book [Golden Rules] than his first book. I just reserved the "Classy" from the library and add "Debrett's Etiquette for Girls" to my wish list in Amazon. I surely will share these books with my [teen] daughter.
