This song was sung by Jessie matthews in the 1930;s and later by a host of popular singers including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday etc. Please leave a comment if you like this version. I do not read music so please excuse any errors.

  • Well done on this it really sounds very good, even better for the fact that you learnt it by ear!!!, the bit from :58 to 1:08 sounds awesome. It sounds like the song has a slightly dark overtone to it, is that the way it is meant to sound?, if so it sounds bloody good, well done again.

  • Thank you very much indeed! I'm glad you like it. I've heard the song several times and hope I've put the true feeling into it.

  • Hope you can help. I love this song so much...

  • Ooops! Sorry about that. I shall try and supply you with some chords but give me a few days.

  • Did you learn this entirely by ear ? How can I learn this piece?

Please post a few chords that might help me.

  • @homePicShow Hi. Thank you very much for your comment. It will take me a while to provide you with some chords but i shall do it. Yes I did learn this by ear having first heard it on an LP record of songs from the 1930's.

  • Any chance you can upload a midi file or a tutorial. i would like to learn to play this for my final year of school :)

  • Please could you make a tutorial. ;)

  • @tdeecy can you help me i'm looking for a tutorial for this song :)

  • The second chord is wrong! Whatever key your in, go down a fourth from the tonic and play a 7th, 9th, or 13th.

    Eg. In C use Ab13th. In F, use Db7th or 13th, etc.
