Why dont South Asian Muslim women work outside the home?
The biggest survey of unemployed Asian women in Britain has found that most women are keen to work but don't partly because of family constraints, but also because they're not getting proper access to English language courses. According to a report by the Quilliam Foundation, nearly 60 per cent of the women they spoke to want to get a job. Jenni talks to Ashraful Islam who has been successful in finding employment.
To discuss the wider issues of what needs to be done to help women into work, Jenni is joined by Anya Hart Dyke, Co-author of the Quilliam Foundation report and Sadiq Khan, Labour MP for Tooting.
