Bruce Lee 'discovered' this technique, if you watch some footage of Lee you can see when he throws a straight punch to his opponent he does not telegraph it like a boxer would. Not discrediting Michael Jai White at all, he's also a great martial artist. White is just teaching the technique to Kimbo, it doesn't mean that he 'invented' it or 'stole' it from anyone. Perhaps Bruce Lee was not the first to discover it too. It doesn't matter, just great to see people talk martial arts.

He's not incorporating any type of defense. Moving in a straight line every time you punch is like begging to be counter punched, as oppose to a boxer who turns on an angle with a punch. He also talks about how his right hand is the "knockout punch," and how easily it lands with this technique, but that is far from the "knockout punch." Just because he's right handed, doesn't mean throwing arm punches will have that type of an effect. Still, not telegraphing your punches is a great skill.

I think what he ment by a "knockout punch" meaning when you start with a jab you usually finish in with the back hand bring the most power and speed into your opponent. If you are southpaw like me my "knockout punch" would be my left. Not to say you are wrong but I think thats what he's trying to say.
