Spend a few minutes with me as I install Ubutnu and Lubuntu on a couple of old computers.

  • good to hear. my first was a commodore 64 at 1998 togather with my sisters

  • @sogndal94 Yes... I had a VIC-20 and a number of C-64 computers. I ran a bulletin board system using the C-64 for years. I even had a "portable" C-64 called the SX-64 if I remember correct. I ran the BBS on the VIC-20 just to see if it could be done. It worked but because of the small amount of memory..it would buffer and people think it locked up and so they would hang up. I only ran the BBS for one day on the VIC-20. The C-64 was a good computer.

  • hope you mean GB not MB if it has MB it is older then me

  • @sogndal94 Yes... smile.. I noticed that after I made the video. I made that error a couple of times in the video. It is just I am so old. Smile

My first computer (TRS-80 Model I) had 48K of memory. Times have changed. Thanks for reminding me to post about it. When I get time I will post a note above or go in and put some text on the video. Yes one computer has 1/2 a GB of memory and the other computer has 1 GB of memory.
