During Shawn Colvin's 1998 acceptance speech for her win for "Song of the Year," Ol' Dirty Bastard came on stage and proclaimed, "I went and bought this outfit that costed a lot of money today...you know man, 'cause I figured that Wu-Tang was going to win... Puffy is good but Wu-Tang is the best." ODB was apparently upset that Puff Daddy beat The Wu-Tang Clan in the category of "Best Hip-Hop Album."
