yeah, we tried making the level versus but there were a bunch of problems with checkpoints... and I thought of a system for them but there wasn't enough time (less than a day)

And as for the detail, I'm pretty sure you meant the level track. It was rushed and had to be done really quickly (as said before, less than a day).

Still, I hope you enjoyed the SpiderBot :)

I personally think it was stupid how they made the checkpoints activate randomly. That can easily be done with a randomizer. No need for extra settings.
