8x8 passive matrix OLED fabricated on an ITO glass and controlled by LabVIEW software. The animation shows moving dots, lines and boxes.

  • Nice, I just.. Don't understand what LED is. Like.. Is it a type of light? Do you program these lights?

  • Thx for the comments. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. It is a type of display similar to LCD. But LED is self-emitting and need not the use of backlight. LED is also low power and it has high contrast ratio. I programmed the patterns of the display using LabVIEW.

  • yes. actually there's two contact for every LED: Anode and Cathode. In order to light the LED up, apply a positive voltage to the anode and ground to the cathode. The brightness depends on the voltage applied.
