Defying all known laws of nature, he somehow manages to sound even fatter than he already is.

lol, ok, fair enough, each to their own. i guess i just find it weird that someone would want their proposal consecrated by the mountain that writes.

grrm is the fattest and slowest writer in the world. and what was with the person proposing during a grrm interview at a con? how pathetic can you get?

Lol, this was not a con, nor was an interview. This was in a moot in a pub in northen irland. Where George and the brotherhood (international fans and gamers) organised an evening for some fans and a few of the casting members for the HBO pilot of his book. Many couple have actually met at these moots, so it is natural for them to propose at such. Yes, most of these mots happen at cons, but they are notthing but informal.

Patience is a virtue...Is your house made of glass? The proposal was perfect for this couple who were traveling from the US vacationing and who have a common love for this author that apparently HBO seems to like. Let me guess your single?

George R.R. Martin makes himself so accessible to his fans. He really is a credit to the genre.

Two and a HALF?! I'm really hoping he's exaggerating and is closer to finishing ADWD, not HALF.
Love the series but at this rate he won't finish it.
