WILSON is available for adoption through Friends of Homeless Animals, www.foha.org -- (703) 385-0224. Hi, Im Wilson, a VERY sweet and VERY cool cat with polydactyl toes. No, not pterodactyl like in Jurassic Park. Polydactyl means extra toes so I look like I have super-sized feet. Polydactyl cats are sometimes referred to as Hemingway cats because author Ernest Hemingway was very partial to us extra-toed felines. So I have a literary heritage and a cinematic one as well my rescuer named me Wilson after the volleyball companion of Tom Hanks in the movie Cast Away. Why Wilson? Because I keep getting left behind. My original owner was evicted, and all of her cats were relocated to new homes all except me. I was left behind. I befriended a little female cat, and we became a little family when she became pregnant and had kittens. But my lovely lady friend was the victim of cruelty someone shot her. I could be sad about my fate, but Ive decided that Whiskers Up should be my motto. Hopefully som eone will realize that Im a wonderful companion. Like that volleyball Wilson, Ill sit and listen to your cares, especially when youre feeling all alone. Goodness knows Ive been there! You neednt be a celebrity or multi-millionaire like Tom Hanks to be my best friend. Just be committed to a lifetime of love with a loving kitty like me, have enough money in the kitty to fill my bowl and make sure Im healthy, and provide me with maybe a toy or two no volleyballs, though. Catnip balls are more my style. Please let me know from time to time that Ill never have to be alone and Ill never be left behind again, and Ill whisper the same to you while you sleep. I promise to be a faithful friend. You will always be my #1 if I can be yours... DEAL!?!
