@johnofohu123 who said Ruffian would be forgotten? almost everyone who is interested in horse racing knows about her, shes a legend... n i think shes more of the Queen of past racing. i think of Zenyatta as the present Queen, and now im just waiting for the Queen yet to come.

@Liese1997 Why would you blame the jockey for this? It was a horrible accident that occured. This "stupid jockey" suffered horrible injuries because of this race and you can't just go blaming him. Those whips are actually made so they don't hurt, and Go For Wand died doing what she loved. That is a horrible thing to say.

I watched her breakdown on tv that day. I also saw Ruffian's that day, years ago. Both heartbreaking days. I never really thought about it, but these comments do make me think. Ruffian was definitely a diva with much attitude. It is very strange that Go For Wand broke down where she did. But, maybe not. If Ruffian was responsible, Rachel Alexandra would have broken down when she won the Oaks. If that had happened, then there really would be a curse.
