This is a stock 80k mile slant 6 (3.7L/225 CI) with 21 psi of boost.

  • @20alphabet  An 87 Buick GN turbo in this video.

  • I'll never understand why people turn the boost so high. At some point the turbo will start to cook the oxygen before it even gets to the intake.

  • @giberish9 ...more boost = more power and if the turbo is sized properly, intercooled, and/or methanol utilized then heating the air is not an issue.

  • the slant six produced gobs of torque because of its long stroke and small bore. 3.40" bore and 4.125" stroke. this means it does not rev nearly as high as most newer engines that use larger bores with shorter strokes that produce more power in higher rpms

  • just curious, how did the older motors make more in torque than horsepower?? was it because of carbeuration??

  • That's what I have. It's the best turbo for this motor, unless you're doing the twin thing.

  • Slant sixes are some tuff motors.
