I have a way to tell what a number is,you move three spaces back from the end of the number and put a comma and then do it again if it allows you until you get to the end.so 384567990 <<< that just looks like a bunch of numbers but if you write like this 384,567,990 it becomes 384 million,567 thousand,9 hundred and 90.

So why didn't you multiply 462 by 100 to come to your answer like you did with the first 2? Why did the method change?
I understand it would equal to 46200, and it would be wrong. But If it cant be used for the hundreds, why use it this method? Is this a part of the formula? Or is this just a technique/method of laying down the answer/info? If it is just a method, then wheres the real formula?
