Cameron/Morgan (!)

This really did evolve as I made it XD

Cam and Morgan met long ago, and over time, fell for one another. When Cameron finally proposes, Morgan panics and runs, saying she's not ready for that sort of relationship, and that she needs something without strings

Cameron cannot so easily give up the memories they made, and the love they forged. He does not believe he can give them up at all. In fact, he doesn't believe she can, either. He knows that she's said before that one of the reasons the Ascended do not meddle, is because they too easily care too deeply when they do, and meddle--often disasterously. He believes she realized she truly fell in love, and it conflicted with all of her Ancient teachings about not making attachments, and remaining impartial.

Thus, Cam refuses to give up on her, certain he can convince her to accept the love for what it is, and spend their one lifetime together.
