I have a simple explanation for why to say Christmas Tree. What other religion celebrates a holiday on December 25th that (among religious aspects) includes a decorated tree that we put presents under to give to people. Last time I checked it was Christians who had Christmas trees. How is it offensive? It's just our holiday. I call myself a Christian and get more offended by deliberately trying to cover up our holiday rather than people celebrating their own holidays.
Its funny that we try not to offend those that don't celebrate Christmas, yet we offend those that do celebrate Christmas by calling it something other than what it is. Personally, I'm not offended by the Hannukah Menorah or the Kwanzaa Kinara. I'd be like: "Hey, someone is celebrating Hannukah and Kwanzaa, good for them!" Just call it what it is, and don't sugar-coat it with the political correctness garbage. Merry Christmas!
I'm British, and where I am we're not afraid of the word 'Christmas'. Some people in authority might think we shouldn't say it, in case we offend the Muslims who have taken over our country, but I couldn't care less.
If an American wished me "happy holidays", I'd point out that "holidays" can occur at any time of the year. If you mean Christmas, then fucking SAY Christmas!!!
a jewish politician told me the reason Christmas trees all over manhattan are decorated with white lights, instead of the traditional color lights, is because white is a neutral color, so it does not offend people, if that is true, then you can say that Manhattan non Christians are offended by color lights. it's out of control.
John Boener is a complete Douche, and I hate this argument...but I am an atheist and I don't think you would be using a tree unless you were celebrating christmas, therefore it is a Christmas tree.
Goddamn this holiday tree thing is stupid. I'm a muslim and call it a christmas tree. There's a difference between not being offensive and being overly-the-top politically correct.
Thank you very much for making this video, I plan on sharing it on Twitter. I agree with you completely about everything you said. A case of "PC" going too far yet again. @Neilfan12
