Here's some old film footage I ran into. The train, I believe, was going to head north onto the Superior Division up to Green Bay. The Milwaukee Road Superior Division is now divided up and owned by the Canadian National, Wisconsin & Southern (who owns the yard that the F7 is pulling into) and the Escanaba & Lake Superior. I don't know who took this footage and exactly when it was shot.

Footage belongs to the Milwaukee Road Historical Society.

  • A shame there isn't more film of the Milwaukee Road available. My Dad (just before Pearl Harbor) and my Grandfather (before and after WW1) worked on the Milwaukee Road - the Perry Division, at Spencer, IA.

  • AHHHHHh,the memories. That used to be a busy spot back in the days.I know someone that has/had a shot of a train with oddball power there, and at Cutoff. Thanks for sharing.

Sound was an expensive option back then.

  • Great find! I see a Griswold crossing signal acrosss the street in the beginning. :-)

Seems incomplete without the sound of an A-200 and some 567s, though.
