Even though this game was only released in Japan, and was released about a year before the ESRB was formed, It was offically rated M for Mature by the ESRB (rated 18+ by PEGI) for Blood and Gore, Fantasy Violence, Partital Nudity, and Suggestive Themes, and was considered by many critics to be the most violent, and scariest game of all time, even scarier than the other Castlevania games, Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, Resident Evil, and all the other Horror games combined!
