what size hide for a 4ft texas rat snake, how do i judge what's the right size hide for it?

Here's an other myth- "if you keep feeding your pet snake, it will continusly grow and grow and grow untill it's bigger than it's said size and eat you"
This myth is the #1 reason my mom won't let me get a snake. I know that it's not even close to true, but try telling my mom that...*shiver*

turn up the heat in her enclosure by 5 degrees
if that doest work turn it up a tiny bit more, if that doesnt work take her to the vets

Yep - resulted in a dead snake. I wouldn't recommend live feeding.
