Army - Insurgents Elminiated After Planting IED

The US Army's 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division operating in Iraq use the Aerostat Surveillance System as part of Operation Marne Torch II. Four insurgents are eliminated after the plant an IED near a major route.

@PerivaleBuses i've read over yours and toasty's comments, and quite politely, you seem to be unaware of a concept. That was definitely was an Apache, at that range, it's true, you have to fire alot of shots. Plus, an Apache isn't going to waste a 20,000 dollar+ plus Hellfire on 2 guys, or risk doing a hydra strafe. So technically, using their 30mm M230 was the right way to go, and anything else would of been wasteful. Kindly go argue about things you know about.

Hey, idiot, I was in the British Army so I know a bit, but I am not aware of that weapon capability, still think it was a waste of ammunition.

Also you forgot to mention that they were in an A130.

Most of those crews are trigger happy because Uncle Sam is very resourceful.

It was the wrong equipment for the job, Apaches could have done it far better even with the gun or rockets.

@PerivaleBuses okay, let me get this through your thick skull, that is a m230E1 chaingun, it fires 30mm. a 30mm like all projectiles, slows down in travel, and at 3000 Meters ( they are at 2700M ), a 30mm shell takes about 12 seconds to impact, in 12 seconds a Projectile can be GREATLY affected by outside influences, such as humidity. pressure, and wind, you dont know what conditions they were firing in, so shut up.
