Yes this item will fit the other tikka 595 590 695 and 690 variants it may not be as tight as the original but it wont fail or fall of.

The factory supplied plastic unit is prone to cracking CNC'd aluminium wont crack.

No shroud means that if a primer fails or gas is released from the chamber it will vent back down the firing pin through the bolt body and into your face. The shroud while not a working part of the rifle it will still operate with out it. It is still an essential safety item.
