awesome film. Di Caprio, Daniel Day Lewis, and Scorsesse directs. Thats what's great abut Martin's films is, he can put violence in it and make it work. But with some directors like Quentin Tarantino they let violence get in the way of there story line

this really happened in america back in the 1800's

film could have been better. some scenes were pointless. lewis is a gem to watch as usual. if not for the historical aspect..wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.

i hated this film!!!!! yeah it was good but it upset me deeply by the unfairness that the irish were treated with im irish and i got so frustrated no offense to any americans but they were very horrible i mean the butcher killed brendan gleesons character just because he got more votes and because he wouldnt fight bill and the irish immigrated there because they were starving in ireland and they jsut beat the shit out of them ill never watch it again xx
