Ive made several necklaces like this but I always use a double fishermans knot instead of overhand. Still adjusts the same way. I also end up looping small useful items in it too, like spare key or very small lanyard style flashlight.

You guys don't seem to grasp the simplicity of the sliding knots for wearing... and the ease of dis assembly ... its part fashion part utility... fancy knots that may look good aren't necessarily useful when you need a few feet to tie something off or whatever you need.
