Thousands of people in Washington State are unemployed, yet we only hear numbers, never see faces. Here are some wonderful individuals who tell their stories, share their feels and help us understand just how it feels to face the uncertainities of not getting a regular paycheck. Watch and listen and then figure out how you can help.

  • It is not 60% unemployment. The right number is 9%

  • @jedistar Actually, in the building trades unemployment is even as high as 70% -- it is in the general population that it sits at 9 to 10% -- the construction trades have been hit much, much harder.

  • Love and hunger don't mix or stick together. That's so true

  • anybody with a brain would know that unemployment allows your 99 weeks maxed and that varies from state to state. Once you run out you're fucked. (i stress people with a brain)

  • that is good I love this video I hope you can put a voices out there lest help

  • well maybe if welfare and unemployment compensation wasn't so high, these people would go find jobs.

  • real unemployment is around ~20%. government numbers are fudged big time.

  • This is a great story. A lot of my friends make comments like people should get off their asses and work, but it is not that easy. I know personally. I hope I can get a job I flew out of town for and spent 600 for as well .

  • Well I'm in this video about people out of work. They left out a lot of what i said but that's OK. About building our infrastructure back up. Get the roads, bridges, tunnels, rails back to grade. They are failing and need to make them safe again. We will just be left behind in the world. Just blessed to be only out for few months. Still running out of unemployment. I don't want to be on it or sit on my ass eating bon bons.

  • I know Chris, have ever sent we went to the Curlew Job corps. It's been real hard for him.Hit very close to home, I am lucky enough to be working a day here and there.
