  • anyone have j pouch surgery for colitis then later on developed crohns in small intestine? i just got diagnosed with this and im slightly pissed and disappointed. They found 3-4 ulcers in small intestine and i didnt have any bad pains, bleeding or anything just fatigue and going to bathroom more. Any help is appreciated

  • I had surgery in Sep 2009, my bowel and small intestine had tubes running between them causing blood sepsis and all sorts of nasties. Still have no idea what causes crohns, the only thing I found that helps is heaps of fruit, keeping fit and a no stress job. The lack of sleep from stomach pain is the worst thing ever.

  • But wait if crohns didsease is rarely fatal how come I heard about someone who had died from it? Oh well I guess rare doesn't mean nonexistant

  • @HammerHealedCD Cat's Claw, it's a vine that grows in the peruvian rainforest and has extremely powerful anti-inflammatory problems and is used for literally any intestinal problem. It has become really popular recently and you can usually find it at most herbal/healthy living stores but it's also readily available online like from websites such as amazon.com

  • @simendem

    What is it you take?

  • i had a surgery 2 years ago and have been on remicaid and am doing great so far but like other people have said, abdominal pain is hugely gross understatement. i don't know how many nights i lay in a fetal position feeling like a searing hot iron just cutting through my midsection. it really is a living hell.

  • i have had a kidney stone and had ultrasound treatment now thats painfull i know

the pain i have sufferd from ibd has been the same as a kidney stone but in shorter bursts

i even experienced electric shock like pain across my lower stomache when having a flair up

    seriously scary

  • @simendem okay. that helps. thanks again!!!

  • @ashwinkga the first couple times take a small dose of like 500mg-1000mg (1-2 capsules) because your body isn't used to it. you may feel dizziness for a couple minutes. but after that, your body should be able to tolerate it fine. then just increase your dose by 500-1500mg (1-3 capsules) everyday until you get to a dose that works. For me, 4500mg is when I started feeling the benefits which is 9 capsules.

  • @simendem thanks i have ordered it now lets see :) how many capsules did u take in a day?
