I love that the friend stuck with John (Kilmer) till the end. I know John Smith was a murderer but it wasn't for nothing at least it had a purpose. Man Kilmer was so great in this.

Usually I'm quoting some1 else's words. Least I cud do is give u some John Smith originals. They won't be poetic. But they'll be the truth. Yes, prison desensitizes men. But it also forces u to see what's most important. Family. Loyalty. Because a con like u knows neither exists in this place. So don't run from who u become felon. Embrace it. Grow from it. Never lose sight of what truly matters. That's my final piece of advise, Wade Porter.................... So long, friend.

One of my favorite films ever, made me sentimental and angry, yet alone with exitment! - i was gladly amazed to know this was based on a true story.
'Protect your family'

"Protect your family at all costs, even if you have to kill again, because if I had to, I would wipe out the whole planet to get mine back."
That quote is amazing.
