FIRE SHOWING IN TRINIDAD

Just minutes after clearing a medical local in the 800 block of 21st Street NE ENGINE Co. 10 discovered a house on fire in the 1200 block of 17th Street NE with FIRE SHOWING from the SECOND FLOOR. Ambulance 12 was on scene as well reporting that residents state there are people inside. THE DIME advanced a 150' 1.5" attack line to the second floor and extinguished all fire on the same. The members of 10 ENGINE and Ambulance 12 had laid out, advanced a crosslay, completed a quick primary search of the second floor, knocked the fire down and commenced with hydraulic ventilation before the BOX ALARM companies arrived on scene.

With the fire under control and all searches proving to be negative the incident was quickly scaled down and held once again with the TRINIDAD FIRE DEPARTMENT. TRUCK Co. 13 was 1st due on the BOX and assisted with extensive salvage and overhaul operations.

The camera man is a Metropolitan Police Officer who arrived before the DCFD and had to move his car so the apparatus could access the scene.

we had something very slimiar, although my men and i stopped on the stairs, then a dorchester engine walked over over backs and up to the fire,quikcly knocked it all down. it was ok, since it was very hot up there.
