A monster Rainbow on the Lower Provo, and this beauty on the Middle Provo River. These big fish are back, and healthier than ever. It's been several years since I have consistently caught 18 plus inch brown trout on the Middle. It took about 8 years after the restoration for this prime rocky mountain fishery to return to it's earlier glory. which is great news for us fanatics of fly fishing, and of course our clients that always love to land big wild trout. The Provo offers some of the best fishing in the west and is a must fish river if Park City, Salt Lake City, or Provo is your destination. Ironically some of the best fishing was when the majority of the fishing reports said the Provo was blown out. True fly fisherman adapt to the water and catch fish. Fair weather wait for the spawn.

Great week of trout fishing. Utah's trout management makes for the biggest trout catches ever. They measure trout on pounds not inches in Utah. First moment /day on the Lower Provo river we find an official sign urging us to take 2 trout under 15 inches home, where else do you see that.... Thanks again Mike for a fine week. Dave Cowfer
