Such a lovely song and a faultless Al Bowlly 'vocal refrain'. The song is from "He Wanted Adventure", the composers, Waller & Tunbridge. This was a Stage Production starring Bobby Howes that enjoyed some success during 1933. The other side of this record is a waltz; 'When You've Fallen In Love'. I have fallen in love with this!.It was recorded on 27th February 1933. Lew Stone's band recording it the following month with Al Bowlly singing.

  • A lovely tune.

  • Gorgeous - such wonderful full tones, and the brilliant orchestration provides a superb backing for Al Bowlly's vocal (which is, of course, excellent!)

  • What a fantastic tune and not on any re release that i know of,surprising as i think its so good.I shall be playing this a lot over the next few days i think!

  • I do have quite a few of Bowlly's recordings but not that one; I'm sure someone else will!
