I disagree. Maybe I'm not paying attention to the same reviewers you are, but the ones I do enjoy (mostly WTF and Roger Ebert) have very strong opinions of their own about films and don't hesitate to disagree with each other. I also respect their opinions - far more than most people I know, who I love, but have much lower expectations than I do.

There are many levels on which film can be appreciated. I agree about the disparity, but am more likely to find value on the critics' side of it.

I hope Megan Fox gets better roles now that shes not doing transformers. Would be interesting to see her in roles with more depth
