@ooOmegaSupremeoo Unfortunately the Star Trek Blu-Rays are pretty badly mastered. They have tons of DNR and EE done to them so they almost look cartoony. So much detail is obliterated on those releases. It's why I've stuck with my DVD releases. That and the lack of Directors Cuts.

Oh, man. I can still hear the wavering distortion of those super high opening tones in my dreams.

@garrisonskunk would love to see that intro uploaded to youtube!

@ooOmegaSupremeoo I suppose after watching this you went to look for one in your precious "HD". Who needs it?

I have a recording of this that my brother made from the first time it was on HBO in '83. The opening credit says just "Star Trek - The Wrath of Khan" as opposed to "Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan".

@timetravelhyman88 NO!

Nicholas Meyers actually wrote the screenplay (as well as directed), but because of a Writer's Guild technicality didn't get the credit for it.

What I would give for my original VHS copy of this. Thanks for posting.

Most Paramount Video releases went straight from the warning screen to the opening logo of the films. The 1979 and 1982 Paramount Home Video logos only appeared on VHS releases of films not made but distributed by Paramount, and Paramount's TV shows ("The Brady Bunch," "Happy Days," "Laverne & Shirley").
does a dvd recorder work with paramount tapes??
