"she must be a good shot!" LOL well yea i wouldn't expect her to miss when the guy is trying to rape her hahhahah

@1androo2 Yup.

@PhantomLyric - definitely not luck. Well ok it was pretty lucky getting tossed onto her bed, although that is probably statistically likely. Perhaps not a guardian angel either, the only thing that saved her was quick thinking and the spirit to survive

@PhantomLyric Peter was a "blasphemer"... Paul was a "hater"... I have found SEVERAL verses that say God was compassionate to such people. NO WHERE does the Bible attribute God to being ruthless. Elijah was a prophet. God has mercy on whom he has mercy. Read Romans 9, since it is blatantly obvious you haven't. Instead of reading the Bible "objectively" perhaps you should read it "personally".
-
@CaesarsDecree God has never been "compassionate" toward haters and blasphemers and you won't find a bible verse that says he was; backsliders, yes. In fact, God is ruthless. There are people who piss on the bible and die strict atheist but this is the same God who killed over several small children for mocking a priest? Meh... I'm a Christian and I believe in God and the bible, I just don't believe in the people of the church and I've learned to read the bible objectively.

@PhantomLyric Your hermeneutics are flawed on several levels. God IS all knowing. However the purpose of achieving His glory is not found in "smiting all the people who will never change their view." Since you seem to know the scriptures so well, you should also know that "God has compassion on whom He will, and will harden whom He will." Hmm....
-
@CaesarsDecree Right, but like I was saying, There are just as many people that are wicked who would chock their survival up to chance than there are good God fearing people who are victims of calamity. The bible also say those kind of people will be destroyed. Not their souls in death, but their physical body. That doesn't happen as often as it should either. And if God is truly all knowing, I wonder why he doesn't smite all the people who will never change their view. Hmm????

@PhantomLyric Prayer doesn't exclude the righteous from calamity. Such a notion is devoid of scriptural basis. Come on. Seriously, think about it.

@CaesarsDecree Come on. You don't really need statistics for something as common sense as that. Seriously think about it. Do you know how many cancer patients die that are Christian?? How many die in horrible, flaming car accidents? That died on 9/11? Innocent children stricken with childhood cancers and die before their 3rd birthday? Even to God fearing, devout Christian parents? I don't seriously need to point any of that out to you. I believe in God, but some things are just common sense.
thumbs up for dead rapists
