After energy corporation E.ON slated them to be torn down, local writers and designers Tom James and Tom Keeley saw an opportunity to make these two industrial monuments into cultural landmarks. They envisioned the cooling towers could become a successful museum, but despite the duo's efforts, E.ON announced the towers needed to be demolished quickly.

My image of Sheffield would be;
Shit roads, Endless ambitious buidling work, crap rail access, badly planned road system, crap sat-nav service, 2 football stadiums in an annoying place/location, floods, poorly planned shopping facilities....

How does having cooling towers making sheffield different from any other place when every single town/city has cooling towers. Sheffield is just like every other town and city in England, a fucking shit hole.

shame on you. you do not even recognise what is really important as human beings.
wanna bet? right there where your industrial past claimed its importance, an anonymous shopping mall or a shit track houses estate will be born.
shame on you.

First off, a significant portion of gays doesn't even do that. Second, still irrelevant to the fact that most aren't infected, and from those that are infected, most are heterosexual.
Third, why someone would waste is irrelevant. If they got the money, they would have managed to sell it, and this is called business. As usual, if you find that "too easy", tough luck since they clearly found an easier way to go through life than you.

"They saw it as being this like quite grim industrial place really... so we wanted a new symbol for it"
So what image do you think a couple of ancient cooling towers will conjour up? Think before you open your mouth!
