When you beat the DK Arcade game once, it will become a coin.

I watched this video and tried it out. It took me two hours or so but i finaly got that coin. BTW, what is it for, what happens if you don´t get it?

There's a door in the last level of the game where you need that coin to open it. There's another coin you need as well called the RareWare Coin.

Yes, you do. They open the door to get the last DK Key.
