@gravityiszer0 Cobain wrote the title for the song, came up with the idea for the song, and put the lyrics to music, but he didn't write the lyrics. THat's one reason, probably the main reason, that he hated the song so much. He didn't write the lyrics,said it was meaningless, and most people think its meaningless.The stupidest bloody part of it is that although they'll say it was meaningless lyrics,they'll fight tooth and nail to defend Cobain as the 'genius lyricist' behind it.

@gravityiszer0 Cobain was traveling with The Melvins as a tag along in their van when they went to Canada to score some hash in B.C. and smuggle it over the border, and the Melvins did a show in Calgary, Alberta , Canada on the same trip that Cobain was with them on. Cobain was given the lyrics to Teen Spirit in Banff, Alberta in '86.

@imsolunar Cobain did not write the lyrics to Teen Spirit. The reason the real writer didn't come forward in '91 was because no one could hear the words, and back then no one gave a shit what the words were. To this day most don't have a clue what the words meant.The guys story checks out as 100% true.Cobain couldn't live with himself for lying to the world.

@Pumpkingilmour Don't even start to say shit like that, Nirvana weren't even around in 1986 and neither were Feacal matter or any band kurt cobain was in, He got the lyric from a tag someone wrote on his wall, and he made it his own! Even wikipedia tells you this and thats full of crap!
