These were growing a long the roadside on Dartmoor.. I saw them from the car.

I have also found many growing on Bodmin moor.. but it took a while to find the right area.

I have found them growing in fields of cows too.

God works in mysterious ways..:-)

They grow on Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor.. I noticed these ones all along the roadside.. so I stopped to film them. I have also found them on farmland.. if the field doesn't get plowed.. and either sheep or cows graze it.

Sometimes I look for many hours and find none.. but once you spot 2 or 3.. start searching that area carefully..

@AcceleratorPlus Hi, I often go down to Dartmoor from London At around August, for the beauty sights. I was wondering is it commom to find these mushrooms there and where is the best place to search for them?

@thecsslife From mid- October through November. I noticed these growing at the side of the road while driving across Dartmoor.. they grow on the short grass that has been grazed You can find them if you walk around a lot. Once you find one of two there are often lots more nearbye. Boil 100 to 200 of them in water, strain and use the water to make a cup of tea or coffee. 300 is better.. but.. it can be very scary. Best trip I ever had though, very profound, after I was over the scary bit.

@AcceleratorPlus Very bad year this year in yorkshire, very scarce. We had a dry spring, summer and autumn, the ground was bone dry and rock hard, even on the moors.

I could fill a carrier bag some years, this year i didnt pick a single one and left them to spore just in case.

onset can be 20 mins to 2 hours after consumption, trip is anywhere from 5 to 10 on average depending on your body mass, strength of mushroom, number taken, time of picking and even the altitude they grow at. Typically 20 to 30 will give you enough of a distorted physical senation and giggle fit with some pretty visual patterns when your eyes are closed. but leaves you the ability to take back control should you manage to remember some past bad experience that you repressed and never dealt with.

aahh this takes me back to when my friends and i would go into the fields and flip over cow shit lookin for shooms...

@tofastpy when it's moist warm and humid preferably after rain. haven't done mushrooms in about ten years, my jaws still hurting from laughing so hard the last time I did them! Definitely the most funniest and peculiar species on the planet and has aided our evolution!
