@ipmoic They don't disagree at all. Primrose might use a longer bow-stroke because that's how you do it on the viola, but if you listen carefully, they have identical articulation during that scalar passage. It's definitely fast and furious though.

that is the cadence that ends the piece basically, what follows is just an orchestral closing so I see why the emphasize things a bit more at the end

Haven't heard this in years. The end sounds positively vulgar. They totally disagree on the final solo phrase. Primrose plays it long, Heifetz spiccato. with both beating the living hell out of their C and G strings.
Having said that, I wonder if Mozart would have liked it?!!
