@punishedexistence Oh and by the way I am *not* smart. I just learned the hard way!!

Yes there is inhibitors in drain cleaner. I did the same thing earlier today with paper towels in a soup can, it takes a bit longer but the reaction is every bit as violent. Even dilute sulfuric acid is a hell of a dehydrating agent. It's all fun till you splash it on yourself. Luckly I have never spilled more than a drop or two on me, and I went through 4 and a half years of organic chemistry classes. I was smart. You get that shit on your skin and you are fucked. Worse than nitric acid.

I was hoping that it might explode

fact:pure sulphuric acid doesnt react with most things as its heavily hydrogen bonded

when i got on youtube today i wasn't expecting to understand chemistry
(shrugs)
Quit complaining about the color and saying its fake. I know that this is sulfuric acid drain cleaner. I have some and did this. They put inhibitors in it so you have time to get it off your hand. Why does it matter if its 'pure' anyways? It is still sulfuric acid. Purity doesn't change its chemical formula. Most sulfuric acid is only 98% pure anyways. Just enjoy the video and quit complaining about it.

People posting here that sulfuric acid is colourless clearly don't do chemistry.
Sulfuric acid is colourless when in a solution. When it is more concentrated/not dissolved it's a pale yellow colour, and isn't a liquid.
Also this is the exact reaction between table sugar and sulfuric acid:
H2SO4( + C12H22O11 → 12 C + 11 H2O (and H2O + SO3 due to heat)
The black stuff here is the Carbon.
