Brumby Run

Our first day, first ride of a 5day horse trek with Cochran horsetreks, we'd been riding for a few hours, stopped for lunch, and no sooner had we sat down & started a fire, a mob of brumbies appeared

They were most likely being driven by brumby hunters, which is sad, ut yes, I have a thing about horses, and seeing those brumbies running wild almost made me cry. But as I said, they might be being driven by hunters.

These ones weren't being driven by hunters, they were just roaming, and saw us camping & took off. Unfortunately, they don't go to that much trouble when they hunt the brumbies, they generally chase them with a helicopter :(

i luv watching them heeps amaising there were heeps in this group its hard to find that many in one spot usually the most is between 5 and 20

Yes beautiful brumbies whom we all need to stand up and fight for....they are slaughtered on a regular basis to make room for the farmers. So wonderful to see these ones roaming free and at peace. Thankyou for sharing. Jules
