A video of me trying my ocdp snare. It's a 13x6 20 ply non vented snare. I don't know how to tune the drums properly so please let me know what you guys think about the sound and probably give some tips on tuning.

Thanks for watching!

  • Tonteeeeeyyyyy....cooolll!!!!

  • Bisa aja mas dev.. Post dong video yang 9 pc funk band..

  • You should try a REMO coated ambassador. What head is on there now? A powerstroke? Sounds pretty good though!

  • Yeah, I'm using a powerstroke on the snare and factory heads on the toms and the bass drum.. What do you think? Thanks for checking the video!

  • dude that cant be an ocdp snare, i should have more volume and pop to it.

  • I think it's because of it's a non vented snare. But, I dont know if its a fake or not.. All I know is I bought it together with the drumset that's coming up soon. Thanks for checking the video!

  • i have the same kit

  • great snare, I love ocdp

    I hate your hats though.

  • Sounds like.. music! nice snare, no further tuning needed :)

  • That snare sounds awesome, but I have an oc with no vents too, and I try to use the thinnest heads possible like weatherkings and it really makes a difference if you want a really "poppy" and dry sound

  • ohh yeaaaah

  • your snare is the boss.

    sounds great

    amazing chops too.

  • this solo is the shit yo

    impressive

    keep it up yo

  • your kit sounds great, no further tuning needed

  • Hey, your chops are awesome, but your head choices are interesting.

Try Remo Smooth White Emperors or Ambassadors for the toms, Powerstroke 3 Coated for the snare. That should do the trick.

  • your whole set sounds good, especially for "not knowing how to tune." i recommend getting a Drumdial, it will cost like $60-$70 i think and it works wonders. seeing as you can afford an ocdp snare, this won't be a problem for you
